Mini Spa Days

Hello busy ladies! I just wanted to drop a line and let you know that I get it....school has started and routines have settled but how well are you taking care of you?  Don't forget that a little pampering goes a long way to how you look and feel.  Here are just a few tips to making a little special you time (even if you have to lock yourself in the bathroom for a few extra minutes).

  • Mask: Masking is one of the easiest ways you can treat your skin to a special treat.  Pick a mask that is helpful to your skin's specific needs.  Aren't sure what your skin is asking for...just ask.
  • Exfoliation: Doing exfoliation regularly is important to your skin. Doing exfoliation right is critical.  Use a product that is not too abrasive or harsh.  For sensitive skin try starting with a facial brush in addition to your regular cleanser.  Normal skin types can try microdermabrasion or sugar facial scrubs.  Farmhouse Fresh Facial Polish is a great one to try. Clients with acne should not use exfoliants to avoid spreading the bacteria that is causing the problem.
  • Soak: Soaking in epsom salt baths has shown to reduce stress and aid in relaxation.  It can also help relieve pain and inflammation.  Just twenty minutes can take away the days stresses.
  • Meditate: Try to quiet your mind.  Sounds so simple but takes a lot of practice.  Get up a few minutes early when the house is still quiet and clear your mind.


Try a few or all of these "me-time" suggestions to start on the right path to self care. Pick a day of the week to treat yourself or work them into your daily routine.  Don't forget you can't serve others with an empty vessel.  You are just as important as everyone else you are putting before you.
